All 3/8" engineered products have a full 1/10" wear layer surface to provide years of beauty and service. This wear layer provides enough surface to screen and recoat for the life of your floor. All McCormick hardwood floors include an Acrylic/Urethane coating fortified with Aluminum oxide which greatly improves the wear characteristics of the floor. Preventive Maintenance: To insure the full benefit of your Limited Lifetime Residential Warranty and for your new hardwood floor, we recommend the following:

  1. Install floor protectors on furniture legs to prevent scratches.
  2. Avoid stiletto high heels or shoes that need repair.
  3. Vacuum floors regularly and use walk off mats at doorways.
  4. For normal cleaning we recommend approved hardwood flooring cleaner.
